A Message from the Colonel of the Regiment, Brigadier Simon Allen

In my previous message I highlighted the impending tour on operational duties of our regiment, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (SCOTS DG), in Afghanistan. We have now celebrated their homecoming with a service of thanksgiving at the Canongate in Edinburgh and parades in Glasgow, Dundee and Edinburgh. In doing so, we remembered particularly Craftsman Andrew Found who was killed in action on Thursday 16th June in an operation in the Nahr-e-Sara district of Helmand.

We now return to our duties training as an armoured regiment in Germany and taking care of our soldiers and their families, particularly those who have endured life changing experiences.
